Kennesaw Pediatrics

Let me start by saying we love Dr Strauss and we have been patients for 5 years with two children! If he ever goes to another practice, we will follow him. However, We will no longer be patients of Kennesaw Pediatrics. They have terrible customer service. After speaking with the office manager Cindy, who was condescending and rude, I asked to speak to her supervisor. I was told that is Dr Long, and that "he doesn't speak to patients". Do not waste your time with this practice, your children are too important.

Kennesaw Pediatrics has been seeing my baby since she was born. Her well visits have all been good experiences. They answer any questions I have. My husband and I have been pleased with the care of our baby, so we have transferred our other kids to them. Misty is always a very friendly face for moms as they walk in the door and as they check out. She has the best personality. Ebonne is incredible; she has helped us make sure our kids care is met and helped us to keep them on track. Thank you Ebonne, Misty and Kennesaw Peds!

INCOMPETENT doctors! How does this place have 4 stars?! My daughter took in her two sick (a baby and toddler) children. One of the doctors had looked in both their ears and claimed they didn't have ear infections. The doctor said the one (toddler) was just suffering with allergies. She looked in the baby's ears and said there is no ear infection. That very night the toddler had a 103 temp. So my daughter takes them both in the very next day and guess what? On this second visit, a different doctor checked both children's ears and they both had ear infections! I guess the first doctor didn't want to be bothered? But that isn't the first time! This exact scenario in the summer. My daughter took the children in on a Saturday for possible ear infections. That doctor quickly, and my daughter said she felt she was being brushed off (as she was on this recent first visit), examined the children. No ear infections my daughter was told for the baby nor the toddler. But she was going to order steroids. That was Saturday. All day my daughter waited for the pharmacy to notify her the prescription(s) were ready. She waited for several hours for the prescription to be ready. She called CVS and they said they had no prescription order! So my daughter calls the answering service to get a message to the doctor. Guess what? The doctor forgot to call in the medicine! Guess she did have some hot and heavy date or something going on that Saturday that the prescriptions were not a priority! Just sayin'! The next night (Sunday) the baby has a 103 temp! So back in on Monday and a different doctor examines both children's ears and they both have ear infections! My daughter said that the front door must be a revolving door because each time she visits and likes a particular doctor they are no longer there! Don't know what is going on at this facility but it isn't the same as when she first started at this pediatrics 2/3 years ago! She is checking into finding a different doctor. Apparently at Kennesaw Pediatrics you don't get the same doctor when making an appointment. The doctor she had on the last visit that diagnosed the ear infections was very nice and thorough but you can't request the same doctor! You don't have a choice.

😂🤣😂🤣Thank you for letting us go, we appreciate it🤣😂🤣😂. The service is below subpar. Had an appointment and was still at the waiting room for an hour after my appointment time. Then I'm watching Karen who works there get her friend and her friend's kids to see a doctor after being there only a few minutes. I got upset and addressed the issue to the staff about this favoritism game that's being played. The same Karen tries to come out and check me, but she got checked right back to her office. Then they send a letter of termination of services how narcissistic is that, it's y'all fault for subpar service 😂🤣😂🤣. Once again thank you. I see alot of 1 star in the clinics review, it speaks for itself 🤣😂🤣

I want to start by writing that this absolutely is not a reflection of Dr. Lisa- Winters Smith, who is our normal pediatrician that is currently taking a personal leave. She is amazing and we miss her terribly. Our son has asthma which hasnt been great lately due to the air quality. During his checkup, we asked for a refill on his medication. It was called in but we found out it requires prior authorization. I called Kennesaw Pediatrics asking for the prior authorization to be processed so we could get his Rx filled. I received a call back from the front desk notifying me that the doctor on duty that day (saturday) said the nurse would handle it on Monday. Wish I could say it’s a joke but nope. I asked the front desk, “is this because the doctor doesn’t handle paperwork?” Which I think caught her off guard. A practice that notoriously overbooks, we typically have to wait 45 min over our appt time but now a doctor who’s too busy to fill out the form the pharmacy needs. Sad. Just sad. Shame on whomever was the doctor on duty on august 26, 2023. It’s sad when the doctors get too good for the “paperwork,” and push it off for monday when their nurse is back in. I guess that’s “above their paygrade.” Pitiful. I hope Lisa Winters-Smith finds a new practice when she comes back from leave. She’s too good for this place.

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. For the most part, the doctors themselves are amazing. Everyone else in that place is incredibly unorganized, lack of professionalism, lack of follow up, mismanages finances, and cannot even assist you with their own portal. Leaving after 5 years, cannot take the administrative portion of this place anymore. Taking care of my child should not be this difficult.
